On Friday July 17, 2015, the School District received a report indicating that an individual may have been discharging an air rifle inside a School District building. Law enforcement was contacted and a shelter in place was implemented for occupants of the building. No one was injured during the incident. Charges were filed against the individual in question by law enforcement personnel investigating the matter. The health and safety of students, staff and visitors is of paramount importance to the School District. We would like to commend School District staff and law enforcement for their prompt and prudent response to the incident.
