The SCCS Agriculture Fair provides elementary students with a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn about agriculture, food production, natural resources, and the many careers connected to the agricultural industry.
Throughout the day, elementary students rotate through a variety of interactive learning stations that are planned and operated by Southern Cayuga FFA members. These stations are designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and educational while showcasing the leadership skills of our FFA students.

Examples of station activities may include:
- Animal Science: Learning about livestock, animal care, and the role animals play in agriculture.
- Plant Science: Exploring seeds, plant growth, greenhouse production, and crop cultivation.
- Food Science: Understanding where food comes from and how agricultural products become the foods we eat.
- Agricultural Equipment and Technology: Learning how modern technology and machinery support farming and food production.
- Environmental and Natural Resources: Activities focused on conservation, soil health, water quality, and sustainability.
- FFA and Leadership: Introducing students to FFA and the opportunities available through agricultural education.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Agriculture Fair is that the stations are led by FFA members. Our high school students serve as teachers, mentors, and role models while developing their own communication, leadership, and public speaking skills. Elementary students benefit from learning from older peers, and FFA members gain valuable experience in community engagement and agricultural advocacy.
The Agriculture Fair continues to be a highlight of the school year and reflects Southern Cayuga's strong commitment to agricultural education and FFA as well as leadership development for students of all ages.
