Dear SCCS Families,
We hope this message finds you well and excited for the upcoming sports season!
We’d like to take a moment to introduce (or reintroduce) you to the SCCS Booster Club—a volunteer-run organization made up of parents, relatives, and community members who are passionate about supporting all students in the Southern Cayuga School District.
While much of our fundraising takes place during athletic events, the Booster Club proudly supports a wide range of school activities. Each year, we contribute to class trips, the after-prom party, senior yard signs, drama club trips and equipment rentals, and the Emily Howland summer camp. In addition, we provide each varsity athlete with an embroidered duffle bag and cover meals for sectional competitions.
One of our biggest fundraising efforts is running the concession stand at home sporting events, and we rely heavily on volunteers to keep it operating. To make this possible, we are kindly asking that each athlete’s family (or a friend or supporter) sign up for at least one shift during the sports season. Don’t worry—there will always be a Booster Club member or experienced volunteer there to help guide you. Students are also welcome to volunteer—it’s a great opportunity to earn community service hours!
